Calling for nominations!!!

Hello all--

As you know, we have elections planned for next week's meetings; however, I've only received nominations for one position to date.  Please consider serving this organization as it continues to grow.  Above all, we need a group of people to help ensure fiduciary responsibility and aide with decisions about how the group spends our growing funds in the future.  Our previous officers and I would tell you it takes less than an hour a month (ok, 2 hours for meeting months--but you're already going to those), so it is not a huge time commitment.  Please see below for the positions open for this election.  If you feel called to throw your hat in the ring, just text me at 830-998-5102 or email me at erikabenfield5@gmail.com.  Thank you

PRESIDENT-ELECT: 2 year term, with first year served as PE, second as president.  

SECRETARY: 1 year term, responsible for keeping minutes and website updates.

EDUCATION COORDINATOR: 1 year term, aids the president and president-elect in securing event sponsors.  Maintains an accurate list of group members willing to serve as preceptors.

You can find more about the specific duties of each office in the bylaws tab, but one of the first things you will realize is that these all call for 2 year terms.  My first agenda item once a new board is formed is to amend the bylaws, but I need a board to do it.
